Jesus Freaks Ministry exists to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, calling people to repentance and faith, strengthening believers, and advancing the Kingdom of God through biblical truth, prayer, compassion, and bold witness.
We affirm the following foundational truths of the Christian faith:
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final standard for faith, doctrine, and righteous living.
The One True God
We believe there is one eternal God, Creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed mighty works, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return again in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, indwells every believer, empowers holy living, gives spiritual gifts according to God’s will, and guides the Church in truth and mission.
Humanity and Sin
We believe all people are created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity and value. We also believe all humanity has sinned and stands in need of salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His atoning death and resurrection, sinners are forgiven, justified, reconciled to God, and granted eternal life. Salvation cannot be earned by works.
Repentance and New Life
We believe genuine faith produces repentance, spiritual transformation, and a growing life of obedience to God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The Church is called to worship God, preach the Gospel, make disciples, serve others, exercise fellowship, and uphold biblical truth.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances given by the Lord Jesus Christ to His Church as sacred acts of obedience and remembrance.
Human Identity: Male and Female
We believe God intentionally created human beings in His image as two sexes: male and female. These two sexes are equal in dignity, worth, and value before God, yet distinct by divine design. We believe human identity is to be understood in harmony with God’s created order and revealed truth.
Marriage, Sexual Purity, and Family
We believe God created marriage as a covenant union between one man and one woman. We believe sexual intimacy is a gift from God and is to be expressed only within the covenant of marriage between one biological male and one biological female. We believe all people are called to holiness, purity, faithfulness, and obedience to God’s design for sexuality and relationships, while extending grace, compassion, and truth to all.
Sanctity of Human Life
We believe every human life is sacred and created in the image of God, from conception to natural death, and is worthy of dignity, love, and protection.
Eternal Destiny
We believe there will be a bodily resurrection of all people. Those who trust in Jesus Christ will enjoy eternal life with God, and those who reject Him remain under judgment.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to judge the living and the dead, establish righteousness, and consummate His Kingdom.
Christian Mission
We believe every believer is called to love God, love neighbor, proclaim the Gospel, care for the needy, pursue justice with humility, and live as a faithful witness to Jesus Christ.
Final Authority
This Statement of Faith reflects our understanding of biblical truth. In any matter of doctrine or practice, the Board of Directors of Jesus Freaks Ministry shall determine the ministry’s official interpretation consistent with Scripture.
