So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt?!

SO YOU WANNA GO BACK TO EGYPT?!

In Numbers 14:4, the Israelites stood on the edge of God’s promise, yet they talked about returning to Egypt—the very place of their bondage. Why? Because fear made them forget the chains and remember only what was familiar.

The same thing can happen to us. When following Jesus gets difficult, we’re tempted to look back at old sins, old habits, old relationships, and old ways of life. But God didn’t deliver us so we could return to our bondage. He delivered us so we could walk in freedom.

Don’t let a temporary struggle convince you to return to a permanent prison.

Egypt is behind you. Jesus is before you. Don’t go back.
